Integrity – The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.
Definition of Honour
What is honor? The world defines it in many ways, but we will define “honor” as a keen sense of ethical conduct.
Honor is often used to refer to one’s word being given as a guarantee.
Honor is personal integrity.
Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching
You see, in order for us to know and understand what honor is, we must go to God because honor comes from God, not from the world.
The world’s system knows nothing about honor. They lie, steal, cheat and manipulate all the time to try and get ahead in life.
So, we must learn honor from God because God is an honorable person.
There is an honor that comes from God that man cannot give you.
The honor that comes from man is very shallow. But the Honor of God carries and is supported by the supernatural power of God. The Honor of God has the power to hold you up. It has the power to support you.
1 Samuel 2:30 NKJV
…But now the Lord says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.
Honor, honesty and truth are closely related.
Naaman, Gehazi and The King of Syria.
2 Kings 5:1-27
2 Kings 8:7-9
The King now knows that Elisha healed Naaman his commander.
He wasn’t buying healing but he was honoring the office that Elisha was standing in and sowed into the anointing on his life.
His gift made room for him and brought him before great men.
Elisha got back way more than ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold and ten changes of clothes.
