Being in the right place at the right time is a very important key to discovering God’s will for your life. We said last week, that when you are in the right place,

  1. You will experience the supernatural provision of God in your life.

We spoke about the life of Elijah. When he obeyed God and went to the brook, the ravens came and fed him there and when He obeyed and went to Zarephath, God used the widow to feed him there. If Elijah decided to go somewhere else, he would not have seen the supernatural provision of God. Your provision is in the place where God told you to go and, in the place, where God told you to stay.

Don’t ever remain where God never sent you.

Many people are not seeing the supernatural provision of God because they don’t obey Him when He tells them to do something or go somewhere.

Abraham and Isaac saw the supernatural provision of God when they followed and obeyed God’s instructions.

Genesis 22:1-19 NKJV

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”

There are times when God will test you. Not with evil but He will test your obedience. If He sees you are obedient, then He can trust you with more. Notice how quickly Abraham answered, “Here I am”. Train yourself to respond quickly when God speaks to you. And it starts by obeying instructions in the natural by people in the flesh.

Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

There are times when God will ask you to sacrifice and offer to Him that which you love, that which is your only. He will test to see if He is first in your life and if you love Him more than anything or anyone else. But never fear because whenever God asks you to offer something to Him, it’s because He has something better to offer you. He will always give you back more than what you offered and gave to Him. So never ever hold back anything from Him.

Sacrifice your pride. Sacrifice your will and bring it in line with God’s will. Sacrifice and repent of rebellion and stubbornness. Surrender to God and follow His plan for your life.

If you want to be in the right place and you want to see the supernatural provision of God, It’s going to require the death of pride in your life.

People are wasting time because of disobedience. Disobedience will delay the plan of God for your life.

So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.

Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”

He had faith knowing that he is going to come back with his son. Have Faith in God, knowing that God will not disappoint you.

So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!”

And he said, “Here I am, my son.”

And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.

That is what you need to say to your children, “My son, my daughter, my wife, God will provide”. He is our Source.

Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”

So he said, “Here I am.” 12 And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

God wants to get to the place in your life, where He says, “Now I know”.

13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

Lifting up of the eyes is symbolic of looking to God as your Source.

I believe that as Abraham was on his way up the mountain to sacrifice in his son, the ram was coming up on this side of the mountain. His provision showed up at the place where God told him to be.

14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

When you are in the right place, you will see The Lord Will Provide. Jehovah Jireh will show up in your life.

15 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, 16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.

18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

In your seed and in your obedience to God’s voice, you will be blessed.

19 So Abraham returned to his young men…

  1. Be careful that you don’t look for the spectacular and miss the supernatural that is there all the time.

2 Kings 5:1-3 NLT

The king of Aram had great admiration for Naaman, the commander of his army, because through him the Lord had given Aram great victories. But though Naaman was a mighty warrior, he suffered from leprosy. 2 At this time Aramean raiders had invaded the land of Israel, and among their captives was a young girl who had been given to Naaman’s wife as a maid. 3 One day the girl said to her mistress, “I wish my master would go to see the prophet in Samaria. He would heal him of his leprosy.”

Verse 9-14 NLT

So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and waited at the door of Elisha’s house. 10 But Elisha sent a messenger out to him with this message: “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River. Then your skin will be restored, and you will be healed of your leprosy.” 11 But Naaman became angry and stalked away. “I thought he would certainly come out to meet me!” he said. “I expected him to wave his hand over the leprosy and call on the name of the Lord his God and heal me!

Doesn’t he know who I am. I am the commander of the army. How can he send me a message with a messenger? Who does he think I am. Why couldn’t he come himself.

What is that? Pride. Naaman is so full of pride and he almost lost his miracle.

12 Aren’t the rivers of Damascus, the Abana and the Pharpar, better than any of the rivers of Israel? Why shouldn’t I wash in them and be healed?” So Naaman turned and went away in a rage. 13 But his officers tried to reason with him and said, “Sir, if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn’t you have done it? So you should certainly obeyhim when he says simply, ‘Go and wash and be cured!’”

14 So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed him. And his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child, and he was healed!

I found in my life that the most amazing miracles and breakthroughs that took place in my life happened very quietly. It wasn’t always spectacular, but it was supernatural.

Many times, we put God in a box, and we want Him to bless us and do things according to the way we think it should be done.

Let God do it however He sees fit and let Him use whoever He wants to use.

Notice, God used a maid. (The Mistress’s servant girl)

He used the messenger of Elisha. (Elisha’s servant)

And He used Naaman’s officers. (His servants).

God uses servants. Those who humble themselves and serve.

Isaiah 11:6. …And a child shall lead them.

God is going to use the most unlikely people, people you never thought God can use to bless you.

Don’t look for the spectacular and miss the supernatural. Be obedient to God. Don’t withhold your life from him. Don’t withhold your seed from. Let go of pride. Let go of stubbornness and rebellion and humble yourself. And you will find that you can hear God’s voice much clearer and you will be able to obey Him much easier.
