                            Adopt The Pace of God

In the times that we are living in, everything seems to be so quick and so fast and readily obtainable whenever we want to have it. However, if we are not careful we will want God to move at the same pace as the world does and expect Him to do things quickly for us as well.

It is very important to adopt the pace of God for your life. If you try to keep up with somebody else’s pace, you will find yourself getting discouraged and start wondering why are things not moving fast enough for you.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 NKJV

He has made everything beautiful in its time…

God makes everything beautiful in its proper time. So if it’s not yet beautiful, it’s not yet the time. Adopt the pace of God for your life and let God bring it to pass in His time and not yours.

Ecclesiastes 7:8 NKJV

The end of a thing is better than its beginning…

If it’s not yet better, it’s not yet the end. Adopt the pace of God.

Isaiah 28:16 NKJV

...Whoever believes will not act hastily.

In other words, if it's God today it will be God tomorrow. No need to force and push.

Zechariah 4:6 NKJV

So he answered and said to me:

“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:

‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’

Says the Lord of hosts.

You see urgent matters are seldom urgent. There is a saying, "If you burn the candle on both ends you are not as bright as you think.”

Abraham tried to help God out by doing in the flesh what God said He will bring to pass in the Spirit and according to His timing. It's easy to obtain things in the flesh but very difficult to get rid of it. It's easy to buy an item on credit and make debt but not so easy to get out of it.

So pray, believe God for the item and wait to rather pay cash for it. If God shuts the door, don't try and jump in through the window.

You want God's will and plan for your life in everything. Don't remain where God never sent you.

Don't ask God to bless your plans, spend time with Him in His Word and find out what His plan is because it's already blessed.

God has already planned a good life for you to live.

Ephesians 2:10 Amp

For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

The strength of a man consists in finding out the way God is going, and going that way. (Henry Ward Beecher).

We sometimes yield to the pressure and demands that others place on us and then get resentful. But we should have checked with God and waited in His presence.

Did you already encounter people wanting to sell you things. They will say things like...

“Sign here quickly”; “This is a once in a lifetime deal”; “You won't get this opportunity again”; “You are getting older, you must do this now”.

What people don't realize is this, all those words are based in fear, not faith. You and I should make decisions and buy things from a place of faith and a place of peace.

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Pressure usually accompanies us when we are out of the pace of God.

Proverbs 16:9 TLB

We should make plans—counting on God to direct us.

Proverbs 16:3 NIV

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

When they asked Abraham Lincoln during the civil war, " Do you think God is on our side?" He responded by saying, "I am more concerned if we are on His side.

There is no time lost in waiting if you are waiting on the Lord. So remain calm and remain cool.

A Christian, like a candle, must keep cool and burn at the same time.—Merv Rosell

Proverbs 3:5-6 MSG

Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the One who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God!

So be patient. Don’t let the world and others push you to run with their pace. Learn to Adopt the Pace of God for your life.
