Luke 24:1-8 NKJV

Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?

He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’” And they remembered His words.

Jesus’ resurrection from the dead is the foundation of our faith. Many witnessed His life after death. If there had been only the cross but no resurrection, our faith would be in vain. However, because there was a resurrection and Jesus is alive, we have a future and a hope in Him!

1 Corinthians 15:1-8 NKJV

Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

1 Corinthians 15:12-20 NKJV

12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. 20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

2 Timothy 2:8 NKJV

Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel,

Today we are remembering that Jesus is Risen and that He is alive. We reminding ourselves that we are serving, and worshipping, and praying to a living God. But not only is He alive, we are alive too.

Ephesians 2:1-6 NKJV

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made ussit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

When He died, we died. When He was buried, we were buried. When He was made alive, we were made alive. When He was raised, we were raised. When He ascended, we ascended. When He sat down, we sat down.

You have been made alive together with Christ. You have been raised up together with Christ. You are seated together with Christ.

Now its time to make what’s a reality in heaven become a reality in your life here on earth. How? By finding out who you are and what belongs to you as a believer. Then believe it, receive it and act upon it. Make every promise your own.

God wants us to grow from the milk of the Word to the meat of the Word. He is taking us from religion to reality. Paul spoke about some having a form of godliness but no power. No! We want reality, power, change in our lives now. Not just pie in the sky but steak on the plate now.  The Word must become flesh.

Colossians 3:1-2 NKJV

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. v2. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Start living in the supernatural. Stop letting your flesh keep you chained to this natural realm. Get into the Spirit. Pray in other tongues. Build yourself up on your most holy faith. Spend more time hearing God’s Word being preached to you. Praying in tongues is the door into the supernatural.

Psalm 113:7-8 NKJV

He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, v8. That He may seat him with princes-with the princes of His people.

Hallelujah. You have been raised up. You are poor no more. You are needy no more. You are no longer in the dust. You are no longer in the garbage dump. You are now seated with princes.

Psalms 113:7-8 NLT

He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people!

Ecclesiastes 10:7 NKJV

I have seen servants on horses, while princes walk on the ground like servants.

That’s a wrong picture of the Body of Christ. We are seated with princes and we ride on horses.

Deuteronomy 28:13 NKJV

And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath…

Have you already asked someone, “how are you doing?  And they say, “well under the circumstances, I’m okay “. What are you doing there. You are not under your circumstances, you are above it.

1 Peter 2:9-10 NKJV

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light, v10. who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Take off all the labels people put on you. (Labels are for clothes, for filing, for jars. Labels are not for people).

Labels separate people and push them apart.

Some labels

Rude, ugly, lazy, no good, stupid, arrogant, divorcee.

But this is who you are…

You are blessed. You are chosen. You are blameless. You have a destiny, a purpose. You have been predestined. You are accepted. You are redeemed. You are forgiven.

Paul prayed the Ephesians prayers in Chapter 1:17-23 that their eyes will be enlightened to know and see how blessed they already are. That they will see what already belongs to them in Christ. I tell people to Pray this prayer often. Pray it every day and you will grow spiritually.

Ephesians 1:17-23 NKJV

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

You are no longer excluded. You are no longer a stranger. You are accepted. You belong.

Ephesians 2:19 NKJV

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 NKJV

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. God is not counting up your sins. He has cancelled it.

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

We are the righteousness of God. First class righteousness. It’s time for you to know who you are. It’s time for you to take your rightful raised up place in Christ and make it a reality in your life.
